Investment Infrastructure Services

In addition to depository and settlement services, KSEI also provides an integrated platform for investment management transactions, among which is for the Mutual Fund products. The service is provided in the form of an Integrated Investment Management System (S-INVEST). The system, launched in August 2016, aims to improve standardization, efficiency and real time monitoring of investment management activities. Market participants are obliged to use the system as regulated in OJK’s Regulation no. 28/POJK.04/2016 on Integrated Investment Management System. S-INVEST includes 4 main modules, namely Static Data, Order Routing, Post Trade Processing, and Reporting modules.

The KSEI’s S-INVEST service users consist of Mutual Fund Selling Agents as distributors, Investment Managers as Fund managers, Custodian Banks as administrator and depository, and Securities Company and Treasury Banks involved in Mutual Fund asset transactions within the scope of S-INVEST’s Post Trade Processing module.

  • The Registration of S-INVEST Service User

    Prior to being able to use S-INVEST system, the participants must register as S-INVEST User in accordance to KSEI’s Regulation Number X-A on Registration of Integrated Investment Management System at KSEI. Participants may register by complying with the registration deadline and completing the requirements. KSEI will grant access to the system if the Participants meets the predetermined requirements.

  •  The Registration of Investment Products

    Investment products must first be registered to the system by the Custodian Banks through direct input to S-INVEST. In addition, Custodian Bank will have to submit documents for registration purposes in accordance with the provisions of KSEI’s Regulation Number X-A point 8.2 to be processed further. KSEI will undertake the approval process for the registration of this investment product.
  • The Registration of Mutual Fund Customer’s Data and the Opening of IFUA

    To be able to conduct Mutual Fund transactions for the investor, the Mutual Fund Selling Agents must register the investor data by directly inputting into the system and completing the required data. After the data format isproperly submitted, the system will issue the respective SID number and automatically create an Investor Account/Investor Fund Unit Account (IFUA) for the respective investor.

  • The Submission of Mutual Fund Unit Transactions

    Types of Instructions for Investment product transaction applicable for Mutual Funds include:

    • Instruction on investment product transaction according to instruction from customer by Selling Agent or Fund Manager conducting sales of investment product with same day (T+0) settlement
    • Approval of any investment product transaction instruction by the Fund Manager on the same day (T+0)
    • Affirmation of investment product transaction instruction by Custodian Bank
    • Submission of unit allocation and ending balance by Custodian Bank
    • Delivery of NAV calculation result by Custodian Bank at T+1
  • The whole process of sending instructions can be executed in two ways, either through screen input or file uploads. S-INVEST users need to pay attention to the data format for inputting/uploading in order to have successful transaction submission process. S-INVEST users can monitor the status of the transactions and the transaction result on the inquiry screen and download the transaction data. S-INVEST users can also download data in several file types to be incorporated into their respective internal systems by paying attention to the format of the downloaded results on inquiry screeThe whole process of sending instructions can be executed in two ways, either through screen input or file uploads.

  • Post Trade Processing

    Post trade processing is the instruction for underlying asset transaction of Investment Products which includes Mutual Funds, Real Estate Investment Trust Fund, Discretionary Funds, and other investment products as determined by OJK.  Instruction of basic asset transactions or also known as Post Trade Processing include among others:

    • Trade Allocation and Trade Details
    • Trade Confirmation
    • Settlement Instruction
    • OTC Instruction Creation

     These underlying asset transaction can be used for:

    • Equity securities
    • Debt securities
    • Offshore/Unregistered securities, settlement instruction and Time Deposit
    • Futures securities/options trade instruction
